When my husband told me that he had a job offer that was too good to pass up, but that we would need to move to Louisiana, I admit to having mixed feelings about it. I was not sure how I felt about moving nearly 1500 miles away to an area where I did not know anyone. However, his salary would almost double, so it truly was too good to pass up. He assured me that we would be able to get Louisiana satellite Internet since we would not be living in a city.
It was my first time ever living in the country, and I thought that I would have to really get used to it, but something surprising happened. I found out that I actually really love the peace and quiet of the rural area that we live in. The reason why I needed to make sure that I would have some kind of Internet connection is because I am really close to my family, and I was going to leave them for the first time ever. Yeah, I have gone on vacation and left them, but this was a permanent move that was hours upon hours away from them.
I wanted to make sure that I would be able to stay in touch with them via social media, video chatting, and email. The only way to do that was to have a stable connection. I could have done the social media and email even with a slow connection, but I was mostly looking forward to the video chatting. My sister was nearly six months pregnant, and I did not want to miss seeing her grow and finally have the baby girl she and her husband had been praying for. The satellite Internet made it so I did not have to miss very much at all!
